Understanding the "GS" Service Manager Tree View

1 Server Channel.

	Active during the current session of the "GS" Server channel. This channel will be selected in the "STEP 3: Active Server Channel" under the server setup.
	Idle during the current session of the "GS" Server Channel. To activate the channel, use server setup. Users will not be able to connect to an idle channel.

2 Server Stream Mode.

	Active during the current session of the "GS" Server stream mode. This stream mode will be selected in the "STEP 1: Server Stream Mode" under the server setup.
	Idle during the current session of "GS" Server stream mode. To activate stream mode, use server setup. Users will not be able to receive data through the idle stream mode.

To add/create a new Service for the "Server Stream Mode":
1) Select one of the server's stream modes on the "GS" Service Manager Tree View.
2) Right click of your mouse to display a popup menu.
3) Select "Add New Service" and open Service Properties Editor.

4 Service name.

	Enabled, non-commercial service. To change status or properties of selected service, use Service Properties Editor.
	Enabled, commercial service. To change status or properties of selected service, use Service Properties Editor.
	Disabled service. Users will not be able to receive data from disabled service. To change the status or properties of a selected service, use Service Properties Editor.

To edit properties of "Service":
1) Select one of the services on the "GS" Service Manager Tree View.
2) Right click your mouse to display the popup menu.
3) Select "Edit Service Properties" and open Service Properties Editor.

To add/create new User Group for the "Service":
1) Select one of the services on the "GS" Service Manager Tree View.
2) Right click your mouse to display the popup menu.
3) Select "Add New User Group" and open Service Properties Editor.

6 User Group.

	Active user group. To change the status or properties of selected user group, use Group Properties Editor.
	Group set as an initial storage space-group for Users' Internet Accounts, which have been created online by the users. Applicable only if you are a "GS" Service Provider with Professional (FULL UNLIMITED) license, designing web control interface to enable your customers to create their accounts online. To change the status or properties of a selected user group, use Group Properties Editor.
	Disabled group. Users from this group will not be able to connect to the ""GS" Server. To change the status or properties of selected group, use Group Properties Editor.

To edit properties of "User Group":
1) Select one of the "User Group" on the "GS" Service Manager Tree View.
2) Right click your mouse to display the popup menu.
3) Select "Edit User Group Properties" and open Group Properties Editor.

Use "Service Properties Editor" for creating and editing service options such as:

Enabling or disabling a particular service.
Enabling or disabling recording of a particular service by a "GS" Client - user;
Requesting confirmation of a user’s age before giving access to the service;
Creating a service name and description;
Determining whether the service is for a fee (commercial service) or free of charge.
In the case where the service is for a fee (commercial service), setting up how much a user is to be charged, and how the charges are determined. Calculations of the charges can be made depending on hours used, minutes used or the amount of bytes downloaded onto the user’s computer.

In case the created or edited service is "STREAM -> Audio File", use "Service Specific" to determine which files are to be included in the list of streaming files, in what order, and whether the user has control over the choice of files to be streamed.
Stream files can be created using the "GS" Server in the "RECORDING -> Audio File" stream mode or by converting the text or "wave" file using the built-in audio "Media Converter".

Use the "Group Properties Editor" for creating and editing user group options such as:

Enabling or disabling particular user group or enabling or disabling users of a specific group connected to the "GS" Server.
setting up a specific service for a specific group, in which individual users are set up and controlled through Web Interface (this function is to be created by a Web master with a PROFESSIONAL (FULL UNLIMITED) license.
Regulating the on-line time limits for a group of users as time-limited or unlimited.
Create group name and its description;
Regulating the on-line time limits for a group of users as time-limited or unlimited.
Setting up the web addresses to be used by the "GS" Client to connect to a) Home Page of the "GS" Service Provider, b) automatic pop-up information, c) a financial transactions website, d) the website containing an updated version of the "GS" Client in case the user has an outdated or incompatible with the "GS" Server, version of the "GS" Client software.

In addition, the group Attribute function allows a the set up of special permission to use the service for free: for example, when the site is initially introduced to a group of users or for any other reason as determined by the "GS" Service Provider (Trial or Complimentary Usage). Set up rules include the limit of total time usage, limit of the number of bytes downloaded or the number of connections to the "GS" Server.

Part 2,3: Users List View, Controls and Attributes
Please note, that in terms of visual layout and graphical icons representing users states, Part 2 and Part 3 have similar meanings. The difference is that Part 2 lists users belonging only to the specific "User Group", and Part 3 lists all users existing in the connected "GS" Database.

Understanding the "GS" Service Manager User List View.

1 User's System State.

	Enabled user who can connect to the "GS" Server. To change user properties, use "User Properties Editor".
	Disabled user who cannot connect to the "GS" Server. To change user properties, use "User Properties Editor".
	User who is "currently" connecting to the "GS" Server.

2 User's Credit State.

	User who has enough money credit for "Commercial Services" according to the rules set under the "GS" Server setup, "Common" section for "Min credit ($) for service start". To change user's credit, use "User Properties Editor".
	User who does not have enough money credit for "Commercial Services" according to the rules set under the "GS" Server setup, "Common" section for "Min user's credit ($) for service start". To change user's credit, use "User Properties Editor".

3 Top bar of users information grid.

	"User ID" assigned by a "GS" Service Provider or user him/her self in case of using web based control interface. To change "User ID", use "User Properties Editor".
	User's credit. Amount of money available on the "GS" user's account for accessing commercial services.
	Total amount of money spent by user since account creation or "Statistics Reset". To reset user's statistics data, use "User Properties Editor".
	Total connections established by user to the "GS" Server since the account creation or "Statistics Reset". To reset user's statistics data, use "User Properties Editor".
	Total duration of online sessions, accessed by user receiving services data from the "GS" Server since account creation or "Statistics Reset". To reset user's statistics data, use "User Properties Editor".
	Total data (bytes) size sent to user by the "GS" Server since account creation or "Statistics Reset". To reset user's statistics data, use "User Properties Editor".
	Last time when user successfully connected to the "GS" Server since account creation or "Statistics Reset". To reset user's statistics data, use "User Properties Editor".
	User's e-mail address(es)

To add/create new User(s) to the "User Group":
1) Select a "User Group" belonging to one of the services on the "GS" Service Manager Tree View.
2) Right click your mouse on Part II of the "GS" Service Manager to display the popup menu.
3) Select "Add New Users" or "Add Multiple Users Wizard" to open "User Properties Editor" or "Multiple Users Wizard"

4 Right click the mouse to get the appropriate popup menu.

5 Bottom bar of users information grid.

ALL/SEL	Number of total or selected (if more than 1 selected) users in the connected "GS" Server database;
CRD	Total users credit.
PAID	Total amount of money spent by users on the "Commercial Services".
CON	Number of total successful connections established by users in the list
DURT	Total duration of online sessions, accessed by users receiving services data from the "GS" Server.
SIZE	Total data (bytes) size sent to the users by the "GS" Server.

Use "User Properties Editor" for creating and editing properties such as:

Enabling or disabling a specific user connection to the "GS" Server.
Setup/Generation of a "User ID" and "Password".
Setting up a user's credit after receiving funds through one of the payment methods.
Creating a group name and description;
Saving user credit card or other information.

In addition, user Attribute window allows fast access to the information about the following:

When the user accessed the system.
The last time changes have been done to the user's account.
The last time of access to the server.
The number of times the server was accessed.
Total connection time.
The amount of information downloaded (in bytes)
The amount of money used up for fee-paying services

Use "Multiple Users Wizard" when you need to add an unlimited number of new users, (according to the obtained license) with common attributes such as (prepaid cards for example) available credit, prefix and company name.
